Dr. Morris received his B.S. (magna cum laude) from Christian Brothers College. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Of Mississippi School Of Medicine. Dr. Morris completed a Family Medicine Residency at St. Francis Hospital, University of Tennessee School of Medicine. Dr. Morris grew up in Southaven and joined DFMC in 1993, making him the senior partner. He currently serves as CEO of DFMC. Dr. Morris lives in Olive Branch with his wife and two daughters.
Irene Wilson, FNP
Irene Wilson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree at Centro Escolar University Manila Philippines. She completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing at Walden University Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated with academic excellence. Her academic standing is recognized by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Irene has been in the medical field for more than 24 years. Her practice experiences include family practice, women's health, oncology, perioperative nursing, and newborn care, and she has served and cared for veterans. She is married to Matthew, and they have five children: Shayne, Lance, Mary, Chaney, and Chloe. She and her husband are active members of Life Fellowship Church in Southaven and have a deep passion for serving the community. During her spare time, Irene enjoys participating in different community services such as feeding programs, Southaven Police VIPs, and caring for the homeless and underserved members of the community. Her greatest joys are her faith, her family, and her service to the community, particularly those who are in need.
Sheri Ledford
Sheri Ledford is a Family Nurse Practitioner who received a Master of Science in Nursing at AR State University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union University and an RN diploma from the Baptist School of Nursing. Sheri is an Officer in The Army Reserves and has served in The MS Army National Guard. She has two teenage children and is an active member at Desoto Hills Baptist Church, where she sings in the choir.
Mackenzie Gibbons, FNP
Ms. Gibbons received her undergraduate and Master's in Nursing at Arkansas State University. She is recognized by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Mackenzie has worked in the medical field since 2015. She has excellent experience in orthopedics, post-traumatic nursing, and family practice. Mackenzie Gibbons is married to her best friend; they have 1 fur baby named Zoey. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Leslie Smothers
Dr. Smothers was raised in Jasper, Alabama. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her master’s degree in Rural Health from the University of Alabama. She attended medical school at William Carey College of Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at North Mississippi Family Medicine Residency in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Dr. Smothers has experience practicing inpatient and outpatient medicine, as well as working in rehabilitation and long-term care facilities. For the past five years, she has been dedicated to teaching and training resident physicians. She is passionate about preventive and geriatric medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care.
Eric Wade Tillotson, MD
I was born in Vicksburg, MS and grew up in Tupelo, MS. I graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2011. I then attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS from 2012-2016. Following graduation I completed my family medicine residency training in Tupelo, MS at the Family Medicine Residency Center.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and two dogs. I also enjoy running, angling, and other outdoor activities.
